She posed a very, very interesting question in her blog...and I asked in my comment did she want an ugly truth or a pretty lie.
This isn't about her question...or her post.
My dad used to say this all the time.
Do you want an ugly truth....or....A pretty lie?
I gave an ugly truth...an ugly truth in my opinion...not someone elses or based on what the majority felt...but my opinion of the question at hand and in no way shape or form do I or did I mean or intend any disrespect to anyone..and I do not want that misconstrued. Ok. I just gave a comment based on the truth as I see it..to a question that was put out there for all to answer or not.
Does it depend on the question?
Does it depend on the person asking the question?
Do you give the ugly truth or do you give a pretty lie...or maybe what you think they'd want to hear?
Does it depend on what you will get out of it?
Does it matter to you what other people think if you do give a painfully ugly truth...cuz sometimes the truth is ugly..ain't it?
As for me... and possibly many of you pondering these questions.
I have to say I've done both...for various reasons.
Can't say either way which I've done more of...but I have been known by my family and friends...to "say it like it is".
Sometimes though...I don't say it "gentle" enough...at times when I should have...especially if I'm telling someone the ugly truth.
Pretty lies...
Maybe I didn't want to hurt someones feelings, especially someone I might not know very well or maybe someone I love very much...or maybe I would be showered with praise or other attention....if I answered with a pretty lie.
Maybe I just didn't have any good answer either way...and so said or thought..screw it.. this is what they want to hear...this is what they are fishing for.
When we ask a question..do we want truth..ugly as it may be or do we want to hear a pretty lie?
Hearing it said to you...is a of a different color now isn't it?
So...ugly truth..pretty lie? How do you want it?

All ya gotta do is just STOP..no need to say anything, no need to explain anything...just STOP and be done with it.

These scams all have the same RED flags...
Lonely, they've lost someone in their family, they think you can help them, they think they can help you.
They're in a different country...or maybe they are here but from a different country.
They play on your sympathy...they prey on your vulnerability.

Do you think YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WILL ROCK MY WORLD?
I would have used my standard "we have a very nice underground newspaper here and I'm sure you can find yourself an escort"...for these types of messages from men just passing thru town.
But for FFS... he didn't even have my CITY right! LOL....
Could someone enlighten us gals as to why these men...or women (I'm sure it's happening to men too...which it probably does) send messages, when we say not to?

Is it possible to have more than 1 soulmate?
It's hard to say, isn't it. I suppose if the one meant for me where in another country, and yet I didn't know about him....I would be oblivious to it and therefore not miss it.
Hopefully I'll find the one that's supposed to be it for me and hopefully it's the same one I'm supposed to be it for him.
People who find it are so lucky and if they can hang onto it....then they're even luckier.
