This is the lyrics to a song by the Butthole Surfers...Bless you Gibby Haynes and your insanity. We've been to dormant way to long time to let your freak flag fly high and finally take control away from the normals.

On behalf of Dr. Timothy Leary; in association with the legions of illuminated social rejects; and as an influential administrator and creator of musical chaos in these so called “United States” I stand as a messenger of strangeness this evening in order to impress upon or at least to instruct the honorable musicians as to the methods and motives of the truly bizarre reality–The Weird Revolution.
Thomas Jefferson, cofounder and president of this normally corrupt nation said “If God is truly just I tremble for the fate of my country”.
Secondly, there are some dynamics at play which I must familiarize you with.
The so-called weirdos in this country stand as completely freaked out by the normal man as the normal man is completely freaked out by the weird masses reaction to him.
Which came first–you may ask–chicken or egg; you may ask. Well, the chicken of course; and it’s time to break this weird-ass chain.
The weird masses don’t want to be normalized.
Weirdos want to be abnormal.
The freaks can’t be formally normalized nor can we normally formalized.
What we want is complete weirdification.
Basically, we don’t want weirdness from the normal man.
We don’t want to be freaked out by the normal man.
We want to outfreak the normal man.
The normal man entices and prostitutes and performs surgery on our weird women.
Yes, even your brother could be a victim of his plastic fantasies.
And if you weird out his he’ll blast your ass.
What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Are you freaking with me?
What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
So you can pluck out his feathers and smile because you are defending our weird women from the freaky-ass thoughts of the bug-eyed, bow-legged normal man.

Mermaid Parade

It's that time of year again Saturday June 21st
For those in the NYC area, there is the 25th annual Mermaid Parade at Coney Island.
The parade starts at 2pm with the Antique Car Show. The Parade also runs along Surf Avenue.

It's a fun way to spend some time at Coney Island and enjoy the Cyclone either before or after the parade.
I will say that the crowds have gotten bigger and bigger each year so I do advise getting there early and staking out a spot on the street.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me for more info.
This event goes on rain or shine.
And yes if you wish to walk in the parade you can, I don't know the details on it, but can direct you to the site that will provide the info.
I will say as long as you dress as a sea creature or variation of a mermaid/merman/or just be creative and colorful all should be good.
I will try to post some pics on here, but need to white out people's faces due to the nature of this place.

A Rememberance of Friends Who've Passed

As some of you who know me know that I'm a big fan of music and that I listen to all kinds of it.
I had been thinking of what song to use to remember the friends who have passed through my life and have left this plane to soon.
I've been listening to the Kinks a lot lately and kept coming back to the song "Days" and it dawned on me that it would be a great song to remember everyone by.
So here are the lyrics:

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that lights on you believe me.
And though you're gone,
You're with me every single day, believe me.

Days I'll remember all my life,
Days when you can't see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me,
But it's all right,
Now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me.

I wish today could be tomorrow,
The night is dark,
It just brings sorrow, let it wait.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

Days I'll remember all my life,
Days when you can't see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you'd leave me,
But it's all right,
Now I'm not frightened of this world, believe me.
Days.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I'm thinking of the days,
I won't forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that shines on you believe me.
And though you're gone,
You're with me every single day, believe me.
Days.

I invite anyone who reads this to comment with a song that they think would be a nice way to remember those gone from our lives to soon.

I was thumbing through my books of poetry that I have that Henry Rollins has written and I came across this piece that I first heard him perform at one of his spoken word shows... I've always loved this piece. There's a certain truthfullness to this piece that we can all relate to it.

Time with you was perfect
Never boring
Never wasted
You were always the same
Intense and beautiful
Amazing
I would look at you as we sat in restaurants
You awed me with your sheer presence
When I was away from you I would stare at your picture
Endlessly
Something you never got a chance to find out
Something you'll never know
One fact:
I would have done anything for you
Knowing that it all could be used against me
I know what happens when you do that even a little
I have the scars
For you I would have pulled sunlight from thin air
And lifted the curses from your life
I loved you so
It's tragic at this point
Like an ongoing funeral
You're out there somewhere
Sometimes I can feel myself dying slow
You know how those barbed and clawed nights can pass
They rip the meat off your back
Send you into a corner
And leave you with enough of your senses to realize
That you'll live to see another hammering night alone

This blog will be updated on a semi regular basis...I often find myself talking movies to people and after I talk about them, they want to see the movie....unfortunatly I don't always remember which movies I've just talked aout.... so I'm setting this little forum up to give my take on movies...their maybe more Horror films in here than other genres, but if I see a movie and really like it, regardless of the genre it will be here.
Off the top of my head some movies I will be mentioning in here are:
Eye's Without a Face
Spider-Baby
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
Forbidden Zone
and more to come.

Feel free to leave your thoughts on movies you think I and others may enjoy.

Lunar Eclipse

Wow,
Did you all go out last night and catch any of the lunar eclipse? I know it happens every so often, but I think it was the first time I'd seen one in a few years.
Fortunately, it was the moon and hard to hide in the Manhattan sky....lol
I love the city but miss the stars.
I'm not sure where it was in the cycle of the eclipse when I stood outside for a few minutes after 10 watching it, but thought it was beautiful and a full moon as well.
Anyway, there's nothing really to say, except that I thought it was beautiful...just wish I'd been able to get a pic of it with my cam....maybe next time.

I know ancient religions looked upon the eclipses as signs from the Gods.....but I don't feel like looking them up right now to make sure what they all were...but I think one of them is rebirth.

"People with green eyes have the most passion put into relationships, honest and trust worthy, they have long lasting relationships. People with green eyes are also the most beautiful, are fun and outgoing, love to make people laugh, and random as ever. They long for the touch of another. They are very laid back. People with green eyes are very VERY sexy and very attracted towards other people. LOVES to have fun. They are always up for a challenge. As a fire ball this person will always have you guessing. Yet they draw you in with their amasing personality. THE BEST KISSER YOU WILL EVER MEET. You never want to let go of this person. Tend to cover up true feelings, get scared over relationships."

I think this is a pretty accurate description.
