Yesterday while driving in the glory that is SPRING here in my mountains, I was remembering springs long ago. When I was a girl you could look at a hillside in the spring and it was white with dogwoods...like snow that had fallen over night and dusted the spring green with delicate white!
Several years ago there was a blight that befell the native dogwoods and the majority of them have since died, including one my grandfather dug up and planted in what is now my front yard! I miss the misty white dogwood show.
Today as I was making my rounds of favorite blogs I read Ms. Tillerstillerbabe excellent poem...an ode to the changing of our world and the damage being done by our own hands.[post 308944]
Ms Tiller directed us to read ShayeDK'sShayeDK excellent blog [post 311815] about rebirth and Spring.
I was struck by the sychronicity of thought that abounds here in our little world floating in the vast universe!
NAMASTE to ALL MY BLOGGING FRIENDS
( Namaste means that I salute, honor and bow to the light that is in ALL OF US)

By Owen Waters
Guilt
Guilt comes in two forms: The guilt of your own conscience and the sense of guilt projected upon you by another person.
The promptings of your conscience come from your soul guiding you as to what is the heart-centered response to situations in your life. Listen to that still, small voice within. No one ever looked back on their life, complaining that they had loved too much. Quite the reverse, in fact.
If your sense of guilt is projected upon you by someone else, remember that this is merely a game which is played by people with control issues. Such people desperately fear that they have no control over their own lives, so they compensate by trying to control the lives of others.
Genuine promptings of conscience, on the other hand, are the gentle whisperings of your inner guidance as to how you can behave in a more loving manner. Love is the balm that heals all things. When your conscience prompts you to give more love, then find a way to express that healing energy in your life.
Life is a learning experience which is designed to result in continual transformation to more harmonious states of consciousness.
Listen within, act and transform. That's what life is for.
Owen Waters is editor and cofounder of Infinite Being LLC. He promotes a philosophy of spiritual empowerment through inner connection to the source of your ultimate potential. For the full picture, read Owen's book, "The Shift: The Revolution in Human Consciousness

I was tagged by the lovely mrs. SensuousSalz...so playing is something I like, therefore;
1.) I am the worst nightowl you ever saw and can exist on 4 hours sleep for long periods of time without noticable psychosis.
2.) I am frequently late, mainly because I cannot judge how long something will take...BUT I can tell you distances and measures with a high degree of accuracy.
3.)I can also go long periods of time without eating food, but I LOVE to cook and can prepare very fancy desserts with ease and a sensual pleasure. Sometimes I just go in the kitchen and zone out and emerge with something wonderful...and do that thing only once, never again.
4.) I lived in Hawaii from November 1971 to April 1974. The odd and weird thing about that is that at times I am bombarded with connection to the Islands...I meet someone who was just there, I get a magazine with an image on it's cover, someone I am required to talk to has a connection there....maybe it's calling me back?
5.) I am very messy in some areas( like my desk), but really prefer order, proper arrangement and calmness. I could live very nicely in a room with NO adornments...a very zen existence...
6.) I DO have a librarian vibe about me, as someone said in my "18" blog post. I look very tame, but underneath I have these URGES...LOL
OK...now to go tag some unsuspecting lovelies, myself.
I'll post them as a reply here...

Gosh...18.
I was 18 in November 1970. A senior in HS.
I was thought of ( I learned a few years ago from my sister) as a rule breaker and a risk taker...I liked to do things that were fun, a little wild and out of the ordinary. I was kind of brave.
BUT...I was also stupid and impulsive. Hence, I got married two weeks after HS graduation.
This photo is actually me in 1973. I was 21 and a new mom....this was my baby's first Xmas and I LOVE this photo of me.
Would I go back? Yes, but just to vist.

There was a period in my life where poems flowed out of me like a dam had been opened. I won't say they are good poems. Goodness knows, they are techniquely poor. But at that time, they sustained me and kept me whole and sane. That is all I know!
here is one of my favorites: circa July 2001
SECRET PASSAGE I hate walls rooms with no doors no windows. I want to renovate... move walls open spaces let in the light. You've built many a wall. Strong with bricks forged in the past. Layered with the plaster of passing time. I don't suppose I can tear down any of your walls Remodel what you have built. But, may I tap on the door, peer in the window? Or is there inside your wall, a secret passageway to your heart?

I do not think I could live in flat country. I am a mountain girl born and raised. I have lived other places, but the mountains here always call me back.
Here, they beckon. The vista is endless and that evokes POSSIBILITY. Calling you to them, closer- yet they remain at a distance, ever changing, ever just out of reach and ever present.
Here, they EMBRACE. Even in the distance they surround and welcome, calm and comfort. The arms of majesty encircle and keep you home.
Other places I have lived have mountains, but they are not home. They do not call up my genes in RECOGNITION!
If you live near a mountain....today go out and watch its face...it will change as you look. Feel its solemn presense and KNOW....it beckons you and comforts you. It is home.

Look at me with fires of desire in your eyes.
Look at me like you'd like to eat me up.
Look at me sweetly.
Look at me with questions.
Look at me since no words can tell the tale.
Look at me when you want me.
Look at me when you want me to know something.
I sometimes avert my eyes from your gaze....it's so intense.
I sometimes just close my eyes when you're looking at me...so I can feel your eyes on me.

In remembrance of the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. ( And my mother, by the way). Can't we all just love one another? ANyway...one of my favorite songs:
SHED A LITTLE LIGHT
Let us turn our thoughts today to Martin Luther King,
And recognize that there are ties between us All men and women Living on the earth Ties of hope and love Sister and brotherhood
That we are bound together In our desire to see the world become A place in which our Can grow free and strong
We are bound together By the task that stands before us And the road that lies ahead We are bound and we are bound
There is a feeling like the clenching of a fist There is a hunger in the center of the chest There is a passage through the darkness and the mist And though the body sleeps the heart will never rest
Shed a little light, oh lord So that we can see Just a little light, oh lord Wanna stand it on up Stand it on up, oh lord Wanna walk it on down Shed a little light, oh lord
Can’t get no light from the dollar bill Don’t give me no light from a tv screen When I open my eyes I wanna drink my fill From the well on the hill
Let us turn our thoughts today to Martin Luther King,
And recognize that there are ties between us All men and women Living on the earth Ties of hope and love Sister and brotherhood........

When We Kiss......

When we kiss...
We are smiling , our faces close as we talk.
We sometimes whisper because we like doing that.
You are touching my arm, just lightly touching the skin on my wrist. I might shiver a little, but I don't say anything.
We move a little closer and you graze your lips against mine.
We breathe in each other's mouth for a brief second and take a quick sip of our essence.
Then, drawn by the heat in our mouths, we blend our breath, we take in each other's lips and we kiss.
We break away for a brief moment to look into each other's eyes and all we know is YES.

I dedicate this entry to my limerick pal Roger....we did have some fun in our limerick war.
Add your own poem here. A limerick is fun, but any will do.
I wish you a happy new year
Have fun and bring lots of cheer
To all that you meet
And everything sweet
All good things and nothing to fear.

WATER FROM YOUR SPRING
What was that candle's light that opened and consumed me so quickly?
Come back, my friend! The form of our love is not a created form.
Nothing can help me but that beauty. There was a dawn I remember
when my soul heard something from your soul. I drank water
from your Spring and felt the current take me.

Many visit my blog. Some on a daily basis. Some I have communicated with or belong to the same groups.
Why dont they respond? Ask a question? Say YAY or NAY?
Just curious. I do it, too. Visit a blog or three and say nothing.
COME ON people now.....shine on your brother...we gotta love everybody right now!
