What the Grinch stole from this year...
As I began to consider the subject of this months symposium, I thought about the Grinch and what he stole. He took things. He took things that had value, but little value in comparison to what matters in life. When he realized nothing he stole mattered to the victims, he learned the lesson of what truly has value.
The Grinch didn't take my health...Yes, I had Covid and it was a serious illness. But it didn't take my life or the life of any of my friends or loved ones who also suffered through it.
The Grinch didn't take my freedom. Sure, I have had to adjust the way I behave in public for a brief time, that seems like an eternity, but it will soon be over and masks will be a distant memory for those who are feeling well.
The Grinch didn't take my vocation. Our business suffered through the pandemic, but we have made it through and will rebound in 2021.
What the Grinch really stole and cannot be replaced was hugs from family and high-fives from coworkers. oh...and all that group sex!!!

Now it's for Dosa batter.
Have you seen the machine that makes Dosa batter? It's called a wet grinder. And isn't that really just what all of us want is a wet grinder? (unless of course you are from Delaware or parts of Pennsylvania where a wet grinder means your Italian sub sandwich is soggy)
So what the hell is this Dosa you keep rambling on about ad nauseum?
Well, soak some idli rice (or any starchy short grain rice) and seperately soak some beans (ideally urad dal or some chana dal) in 6 hours grind these two in a wet grinder (here he goes again) and let the resulting batter ferment overnight.
The next day, fire up your waffle iron and make a dosa waffle and top it with a piece of garam masala fried chicken and some tamarind syrup.
Indian chicken and waffles.
