Big tip? Does it make a difference?

Question: Does a big tip make a noticeable difference during penetrative sex or does it simply "show" better? I've heard only one time that a partner commented on how the tip was a bonus - when I don't go to deep.

 I can't tell whether it plays a role, but sometimes I can feel the change if the tip enlarges a few seconds before ejaculation. Or at least that is how it feels.
