Cristmas is over.........................

Cristmas is over......................... Till next year...the presents you bought lie in a pile under the tree, already the have picked their favorites and the others look like they need a ticket to the island of misfit toys. That turkey sandwich you had for lunch just didn't seem to go down that well, not to mention those left over yams. Still those are the things we're use too after the holiday rush is done. Oh you still may be going out to visit friends and relatives of course, extended families seem to take up our time the week between Christmas and New Years. But come New Years eve, your be ready to start the process over again..the parties, the food, the antacid you'll need the next day to settle that sour stomach. ( God why on earth did I mix beer, and Black Russians. Just stop this pounding headache and I'll never drink again) But you do..it's tradition. We eat too much, drink too much and buy things we don't want or really even need. All in an effort to bring a little joy into our lives. You think we'd learn? But every year we get back on the same and try to hang on during that wild ride, that starts the day after Thanksgiving and doesn't end till we have to return to work on the second of January. Like I said, "You'd think we'd learn." Ah well, maybe next year? Oh and in case your interested, there are 364 shopping days left till Christmas...I hear the Mall is open and there's a sale going on............. |
