6 Weeks :D
6 Weeks :D 6 Weeks ago right about this time, i had quit smokin and also had a hysterectomy so that meant no sex for 6 weeks. Well i still dont smoke (go me) and im not sure i feel better but im sure i will once i get to work and am able to work more. I had sex a few days early, damn it was rough going that long, when i did i was so afraid it was going to hurt i dont think i enjoyed it that much. Well it didnt hurt that much at the time, but now a few days later it still hurts and i wish i woulda waited, just wonder if it woulda mattered that much?? Well thats my ramblings for today, any advice?? |

After waiting 6 weeks, I doubt that a couple of days would have made much of a difference as the swelling really should be gone by then and the healing well on it's way. Never had a hysterectomy though, so I don't really know. Congrats on giving up smoking, it is something that I want to do but am dreading withdrawal, so I'll stay a smoker for a little while. Congrats again and I hope all gets better each day.

Wait till you're well healed, and then make up for lost time! In the meantime, stay off the cigs... Now that you're free of them, no sense in going back. Health first - you just went through one operation, you don't need to risk more...

When the doctors say 6 weeks it's an estimation of the TYPICAL time it takes to heal. Not everyone is healed in that amount of time, and some heal faster than that. Sounds like you probably needed more time. As long as you're just sore and not having massive amounts of pain, you probably just need a bit more time to wait before having sex again. (If there's pain - call you doctor!) Good luck on the healing! ~HLG78~ "As kinky as a cheap garden hose!"
