I am guilty of using the word fuck in a profane, abusive way. It seems to fit somewhat appropriately when and where I use it. More abusive than I really want to admit but it is what it is. I do have to be mindful of my profanity around my grandkids. I once called me mother a bitch to her face when I was a sophomore in high school and found myself picking myself up off of the floor and never called her a bad name to her face again. She got my attention and my respect on that one. The most offensive word to me is "cunt." I feel that that is the most abusive word a female can be called. There's just no exception or going around it in my book, cunt is the filthiest, wrong word to ever use unless one is trying to be abusive. Where women are offended more deeply by that word? Or is it the implied meaning? I view that word as description of a- really, really really nasty bitch. For a man, I would call him a real dick. But I'd add the word "asshole". So it would take two words to accomplish the same goal with that one word, used to describe a woman. Do you see it the same way? It's a weird conversation... but it's interesting that you brought it up. It's not the first time I've heard this pov. Oh, yes I remember. My dad was driving me to school on a snowy day, and someone did something stupid and he had to try to stop (people in Seattle really don't know how to drive in the snow), and he said "fuck" very vehemently, and apologized for it. No, I wasn't annoyed...I was so shocked, lol. Ha...next time I'm at the mothership, I'll have to prove to you I can swear, lol. I guess I was a bad father... Growing up, my Dad NEVER swore in front of me and certainly never used Fuck. Perhaps it was different for my brothers as they played sports. The worst my Mom would say is Tish instead of Shit. I worked for a Female Manager who swore like a sailor. I also worked with a woman who seemed to use Fuck in every sentence. I think she had become totally immune to the word. While not a prude, I felt in both instances, it was inappropriate for the workplace. Using public transit, there probably isn't a word I haven't heard. I do my best to tune it out and think to myself, What the fuck is wrong with everyone What do you think the issue is? Lack of interest? Too few naked pics? Perhaps I should change it up and just post naked pics? Or... include the word' fuck', in every sentance? You're an expert, no? I heard that you do editing, on the side?
