from questionnaire to qualify for an interview- $125/hour on skype to talk about the future

Well, I'm in process of trying to get out of medical retirement and am trying to determine what direction to job train that isn't going to be squashed in next couple given my Doctor's orders of half time, working away from others, and setting my own hedule; and a medical inability to do entry level coding (my original intent). So I've been looking at all this for a while. Most of my family thought I should go for accounting and do bookkeeping for small business, but even the CPAs will be largely iced out I am good at software design, but can't go into that without being an entry level coder for a while.

So I'm working on developing work that suits me, won't be able to be farmed out to AI or such, and will be needed more as time goes on. I am building a portfolio of information problems and how to solve them. Information problems in the efficient market/Adam Smith sense- where yes, if proper markets distribute goods most efficiently, but proper means that information is free and transparent. I'm not a total idealist, but there are ways to get information about demographics , job function, and wage level out into the public eye and shame the company into ing the same wage for the same work. Or the whole chromebookks adding Android sales/marketing fiao- neither best buy nor amazon had on their sites or with their ph customer for more than a year which chromebooks were upgraded. The customer couldn't make a good decision on purchasing easily, and the largesst (I think, don't quote me, but at least close to largest) chromebook sellers lost market to independents who could do basic training for their customer . If I had been well enough, or any else was ing attention, a SEO optimized affiliate marketing site could have cleaned up. catch the Search engines, a few ads here and there, and some could have just cleaned up through holiday shopping seasons (or , actually, as the firms would have realized what happened in post season analysis). There are information mis match issues like that all over the place iif you know what to look for, but it really takes an economist type like me to spot the s that are need fixing and can be profited off of.

So work futurist? I'll have to tell you in the Fall. I'm putting together a package for getting on founder2be to get a business person to partner with. My health problems are psychiatric/mood in nature, and I can't be around people for long without starting a fight, so I need a partner who can be the front.

In addition to informatoin mismatch like that, I am designing a web app that would be a single point resource for housing choices- kind of a mortgage calculator that compared multiple housing choices, plus EVERY QUANTIFIABLE FACTOR in the choice. All the information is out there, models from econometrics types, data from blue book and AAA on vehicle operations costs, google maps for commutes, several independent groups laying out quality of local hools and how sets future earnings, black rock and others projections of future interest rates and roi S&P for difference in costs, how far to house of worship the family prefers... I've got a lot of it put together from last year when I still thought I would be able to code it all myself. I have the UML's, pseudocode for lots of it. Then also a similar spun off model for retirement housing choice- specifiy retirement community versus present home upgrade for aging in place. I really don't know why people aren't getting in on this. Do they think the boomers actually have as much saving as they act like they do? Do they realize that people are living longer, so the boomers will be bidding up the prices in retirement communities they want into? There isn't enough units now, people are living longer (i.e. residing there longer), and a decent sized bump in incoming numbers are on the way.

Oh, and on the boomers, what do you think happens to the legacy systems when the boomers who know how to work them retire? You think you are going to get a bunch of millennial website designers to learn Fortran? How about the federal government legacy systems, where they won't be wiling to some to learn a dead language, nor hire people from central and western Asia who know the languages. I mean this is going to hit corporations, but imagine being a bureaucrat in South Carolina of the red persuasion facing this problem. They can't ask for to fix the problem (raise taxes in the fly over?). They can't do nothing as the medicaid system, drivers license and car plates systems, education systems grind to a halt. There is to be made in all sorts of ways here, and if you set it up right, you can force the groups to fix their systems, and make filthy lucre as/until they do.

So this is a log way of saying that there are lots of information mismatch and information price problems out there that I know how to make off of- I just need to find the right partner for it. But I'm crazy (have the paperwork to prove it), so hard to accept all that I say. Anyway, futurist? sure. But mostly in trying to bend it back toward markets working right. Yeah, I built a treatment, medication , and emotional ale system that would go from a cheap $40 tablet to Google Sheets for analysis (automated analysis and output, of course) that works within HIPPA federal informtion privacy guidelines, yeah I used forms, sheets, and ripts for a solution to a law firm's information gathering that if put into place would have replaced at least legal secretaries. Yeah, I knew al Qu'aeda was going to hit us (though on the day I thought was GIA as they were the only s who previously tried to fly planes into landmarks).

Last futurist piece. My buddy Roger, he's chair of econ as a southern california liberal arts college, and we disagree what will happen with the decrease in demand for labor. he thinks a guaranteed wage system will come about. While I wish that was the case, I can't see our current polity going for that. I think nothing will be d till violence, but what should be d is decrease the work week by half an hour a year for the next 40 , while raising the minimum wage each year by the equivalent (up 1/80th or 1.25% in year , up i/79th or 1.27% in year ..) unless or until the labor demand comes back. And make it cool again to learn as people will over time have more time on their hands, and if they spend that time reading Plato, that's better than getting bored enough to take up heroin.

It's all coming up Federation of planets, baby.
