Tiredness A Poem

I lost the day
To tiredness.
Like many another
That prefaced it.
It takes a toll
Deficits can add up.
Sleep deprivation
Makes us lag behind
Like a leg that is limp.

I wonder if a massage
And maybe a bath
Will ease the aches
I don't want to resort
To artificial means
To dull the pain.
But I may take
A muscle relaxer
Or an ibuprofen.
This might do the trick
The sleep that follows
Restorative
And recuperative.
