The Married Woman's Dilemma A Poem

The Married Woman's Dilemma Written in 2015

She has a hole in her life
A void so to speak.
She has a husband
He may be there physically.
But he does not seem to be listening.

She has ideas
And she has dreams
She has a yearning for<b> romance
</font></b>A yearning for understanding.

The husband he has begun
To take her for granted.
How nice to have a caretaker
Of his many needs.
Someone who feeds him.
Who sleeps with him occasionally.

But this is a two way street
Or at least it was supposed to be.
He could say she is not there for him
Even though she has left many a door open.
He has yet to walk through them
At least neither has slammed the door shut.

She has many male friends
On various websites of social media
She even sees men where she works
And when she goes out.
She wonders if any of them
Would be better than her husband.

They would be missing memories
Some very cherished ones.
They would be missing the deeds
Many a caring hand lent.
But they would also be missing the pain
And that feeling of the doldrums.

She wonders and she yearns,
She wonders if there could be more
She wonders if some other man
Could be hers.
She has yet to take action
For there will be no return.
And while it may seem rosy at first
Or it may even be a disaster,
The vows would be broken.
