Your Natural Integrity A Poem

Your concern
Was so welcome.
Your understanding
Was exemplary
Of your caring.
It is something
I find valuable
In a friend
And when found
In a love interest
Pulls my heart strings.
An emotional connection
is deepening.

I can only hope
You continue
To act this way.
it is not artifice
But your natural integrity.

 Hope but with a hint of despair arising from past disappointment, perhaps. If the poem reflects real life, I would like hope to defeat despair.
