Changes From Loss. A Poem

Changes that come
From the loss
Of a loved one
Changes in routine
Changes in conversation
Changes in affection.
Changes we wish
Would never have happened.
They are so very hard
To deal with.

Stages of loss
Are they always
So predictable?
That is what we
Have been taught
The lesson
From experience
God awful painful.
Making one question
God's existence
Why would he wish
This tragedy upon us?
I guess we won't really
Know until we meet him.

I noted you had not been around as frequently as usual, or not posting, I hope all is well in your neck of the woods, and you are strong and healthy.

This poem does mark about loss, the question why......and, I am unsure I could use my own "insight", but, loss signifies someone you knew or valued, at such times celebrating why they were valuable to you, does not make the loss any better, but can make life in the shadow of tragedy brighter, to know this person brought light in, and that all of life is not tragedy and loss.

Thoughts in sensual pleasure to erotic writing writ.

Thank you my dear man. I have not had much romantic or love to write about so that is why the drought.

This poem is about the most recent loss of my brother's and his girlfriend's dog over the weekend. I considered her my doggie niece. However, I have so many friends that are also suffering the loss of loved ones. The flu here in the US seems to be hitting the elderly very hard. I can sympathize when they say they lost their parents or friends. I think of my own loss of my parents. It really is a change that we have to absorb and make.

I lost my sister when she passed away. I don't quite understand the changes that came from her loss in my life. If any occurred I don't know. All I know is I miss her.

I am sorry your sister passed away. Hugs. You are right about missing someone. To me that is the changes in conversation and affection. You can still talk to them in your head and out loud if you wish. I know I do that sometimes to my Mom and others loved ones that have passed from this physical world.

God works in mysterious ways.
I'm praying my dog will be fine.
My head is in a fog and a haze.
I'd wish I could turn back time.
