Time. The ultimate thief. Hey. I like to anthropomorphize just about everything. My laptop is a female. My little audio mixer is male. My vehicle is Rose, but not because of her color. My shoes are named Charles and my belt is Whipple (don't ask, unless you really wanna know). I realize that there is a mythical fella named Father Time. He's got a beard down to his knees and is likely a second cousin to God himself. But I wonder... I think Time is a woman. She's spry and extremely fit. She wears leather - or rubber. From top to bottom. Yet, she never sweats. She is a criminal of Gothic proportions. Possibly the greatest pilferer in all of History (um... her brother is named History). I feel that Father Time has gotten a bad since... well the beginning of time. Just because he had that one night stand with Mother Nature that ended with the birth of that tiny named New Years; every one of us has felt haunted by his long shadow that appears closely resembling a hooded figure with a sickle. Maybe his , the one he fathered with that hot piece named Earth, is really running the show these days. Behind the scenes. Like a mafia boss, but a whole lot sexier. She can hide her age because she's immortal. She appears to us in her prime. But every time we look at the clock we can feel her presence. She's no longer a spring chicken, you know. She's been playing cards with Dorian Gray. Her patience is endless. I'm glad to be back here at Couples Dating. If you'll allow, I'll spill some words here and there. |
