Oh, Canada!

Oh, Canada!

I seem to have a lot of "profile views" from ladies in Canada.

I like Canada. I spent my honeymoon there.

I toured with a jazz band throughout the country. Twice.

Halifax, Montreal, Quebec. I can't remember all of them.

I danced my ass off at a club somewhere up there; and my friends and I scored hashish from the bartender. We all got laid (including the bartender).

We made a live recording of the rock band that was a derivative of the rhythm section of the jazz band. We had a three-piece horn section accompany them. It took a LOT of planning to make such a thing happen. So far away from home, yet, homey nonetheless. Good times.

I miss that kind of stuff. Reasons for existing.

When I grew up and became employed by a big company, I traveled to Canada again (and again). One of the largest touring sound companies is up there. You know them?

A "partner" of mine scheduled a meeting in Montreal. In March. Word of advice... don't go to Montreal in March. The snow was like thirteen-feet high. Although the meetings went very well and lots of money was made -- it could have easily waited until June or July, too.

The last real "job" I had was managed by a native Canadian. She was fabulous! Detail-oriented, penny-pinching, way-too-organized and expected the same of all of us. Most of my fellow employees despised her, but she was truly awesome. And FUNNY!

Man.

Three Cosmos in, and she was an absolute riot. There was a bar right across the street from our place-of-business... Fridays were the best!

I miss her. She was my boss's wife. She passed, unfortunately... well after I left the place -- but I attended her funeral. Bawled my eyes out from the eulogy.

My boss and she had an experience where he had her handcuffed, and BROKE the key! They had to take a cab to a locksmith. Awwww ... some funny shit indeed.

So... anyway. Dunno what the heck I'm talking about again.

You Canadian ladies... don't be shy. Cuz I know you are NOT. Send a message.

And you other ladies, here in the states... same thing. I'm fixing to travel in the next few months... where to go, what to do, who to see, when...

You are pretty close to there, B.

They are... fine, indeed.
