Chasing the Sun Chasing the sun. I knew that would be the order of the day. The Summer Solstice has passed, and I remember it all like yesterday. I fed my pony and set out like lightning. She had answered my letter in the winter. It was spring now. We conversed forever in an instant. Clicked. Plans made, plans changed. No matter now, I'm heading towards the midday sun. More rain and storms rolled in that day than we'd had in ages, wicked green sky and front line clouds rolling overhead, forging through rivers of rain on the ground. There's no turning back, no chance. Rolling through the plains feeling Quixotic and come across windmills. Windmills. Now there's volumes laid out in fallow fields. Lothario thoughts prevalent in my mind and...Windmills. Heavens turn violet, dotted with others' suns. Haven't seen them in so long. Crossing an invisible time zone, stinging dust blots out the sky. Not much further to go. All the while - electrons flow between us through the ether that<b> tether </font></b>our hearts and souls. Fire. Feeling the sting of the North at her regular evening respite, I send electrons her way to signal my arrival. All of a sudden it's high, jr and primary school in an instant. Goofy grins, awkward dances and glittered Valentines cards. A vision of loveliness heads my way. Moments that will forever be inscribed, the tuck of the chin, the embarrassed smile. Hi. Hi. Rapture.... If only....If only this could be anything other than a daydream that passes in a moment, rather than an imagined fancy. But that's the reason to be. To dream.
