"Why do we write"?

Do you write because you have something to say? Self-gratification, or you just like an audience? We want to be heard or read. But when I was in the 7th grade, I was in English class, we was told to write a paper. I written a two paged paper and I was so proud! So when I got my grade, I got a "D". I asked the teacher, why I got such bad grade. I put so much in this paper!

She said, "I asked you to write a paper on one topic, and you wrote about many topics'! Just because you had two pages, that don't automatic give you a grade of an "A". She also said, " A paper should be no more than 5 paragraphs, and if you can, it should be on one piece of paper." If you write too much, your going to lose your audiences! She's right! When I read something, very long. I have read some now, and some later.

I have a short attention span. I only read a little at a time. But I'm not perfect, I have a few long blogs on here. I try to not go over 6 paragraphs. Back in school, there was a few students who got their point across in 3 paragraph! That's not me. But when I do write something, I hate to lose my audiences! When I get feedback and It's totally opposite of what I'm trying to say, I lost my audiences! But, what they say if their interpretation of what I wrote, now that's OK!

Why do I write? This is a form of communication, I live alone, so I talk to people with blogs. I enjoy writing, and I hope you get my point! I know there might be stuff I written that someone might not like or agree, that's OK! But, if a person actually read what I wrote, that makes my day! All right 4 paragraphs! My question is "Why do you write"??????

I used to write to express my thoughts and feelings but times change and I don''t write much any more.

I never know what I will end up writing in the blog. I write a lot throughout the day, and here I can allow myself to be somewhat different from the 'rest' of me.

I write to respond to someones "Thoughts".

Maybe to debate, maybe to just converse, maybe help them, and maybe [also] help someone else who reads the Blog of the person I'm responding. Ha, maybe gets me blocked, and that's been an interesting study.

I agree with you about writing too much. Good lesson , that one.

I've been contemplating starting my own Blog, for a while now. Time will tell. But I promise, it won't be about sexual fantasy. That stuff is boring.

sometimes i write because the words are stuck in my head...and if i get them on paper in good order
my head feels better.
sometimes it is something that angers me, sometimes it's something that made me smile

there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

I enjoy writing and I try to entertain. I usually put stuff down, that amuses me, and I hope for the best. It's not always a success. Then again, it's hard to say, what this crowd likes to read. I stopped worrying about that... a while ago. 🌵😊
5 paragraphs right? hmmm... 🤔 I guess, I mess up with that occasionally... 😊

you are very welcome sweetheart and I appreciate what you wrote here I just wish more people would write blog posts of substance without the complaining and moaning about life in general ..the worst complaints are the ones who come on and blame everything on either others or the site for their mistakes or problems....its no wonder people don't stay .

Why does anyone do the things they do? I write because I enjoy it and it gives me the freedom of saying in written form that I cannot say to everyone who reads what I put to pen or type , in person face to face. .I write because some people enjoy reading interesting things and learning things that I know and like to teach about ..What I have in my head as thoughts are just a pathway to understanding how the stories get stored in my memory ..the experiences I have learned along the destined path I have to take through life...even if those inklings are just random little notions or brief parts of me..it still needs to come out in one form or another ...I write mostly because it gives me great pleasure in knowing others may read what I write and if just one person gets a bit of joy from that then I have done what I set out to do...
