Does age matter?
Does age matter? Would you judge a couple by their age difference? Does age make a difference when you choose to sleep with someone? Does age make a difference in looking for a relationship? Do you have an age limit? What's the youngest or oldest age you would consider? Inquiring minds would like to know? Biunicorn |

Hmmmm...thought provoking questions... 1) Nope, would be hypocritical if we did.... 2) Not by that point... 3) Yup, but other factors take precedence... 4) Not so much a limit, but those pesky numbers are good guidelines 5) As long as there's a strong "connection", legality and longevity rule... With us, it's always been about the mutual attitudes of all the participants. Having said that, it IS hard at times to feel in sync with someone too many years removed in age from our own. This makes it a wee bit problematic since WE have a pretty decent age difference, so generally we defer to the Lovely Siren's choices in this regard. If she feels uncomfortable we politely move on. BUT...the point is...we never preclude ANYone simply because of their age. So, if the difference is substantial, they would have to work all the harder to show us something notable about themselves other than their age. Hope we've been able to show you one age-separated couple's opinion in this rather delicate matter.... Prime & Siren

Interesting Many a young lady posed that to me too My answer Age is a number plus learning from the missteps taken As far as relationship is concerned .. It all boils down to as to how the two partners relate to each other .. their chemistry ..If it works its awesome else its hell and blame it on age difference

I answered a similar question here: [post 3561775]. To save the click through, I will copy. My wife is almost nine years younger than I am, but over 40 that's not a huge difference. (If we had somehow crossed paths when I was 24 and she was 15, however, it would have been creepy and illegal, and neither of us would have looked at the other as a possible partner.) The largest age difference in a hook-up for me was 25 years; she was 21 and I was 46 at the time. The age difference didn't matter for the circumstances; we both had what the other needed at the time. The largest difference in the other direction was when I was about 23 and hooked up* with a woman who was about 38. Again, the age difference was not a problem; my only complaint was that her smoking gave her bad breath. What about relationships with large age differences? I see them as possible -- but I think it rare that they're equal relationships. In most cases, they're likely to be trades of youth and beauty for money and security. For some people that's OK, as long as both accept that as part of the relationship. Some of those may even develop into equal relationships. And some probably even start that way, if they start with some common interest that isn't age dependent. * The expression "hook up" wasn't used then, at least not to my knowledge.

Would you judge a couple by their age difference? No....what ever floats their boat! Does age make a difference when you choose to sleep with someone? No....both parties of adult age then no worries! Does age make a difference in looking for a relationship? Again, it's up to the couple in the potential relationship none of my business! Do you have an age limit? I do have a modest age limit....no one over 10 years then me...I am active and I want some who is active! What's the youngest or oldest age you would consider? The youngest I had was 12 years younger then me...and the oldest is 8 years older! Inquiring minds would like to know? age doesn't matter, maybe levels of maturity matter, but besides that I don't age makes any difference. As long as there's compatibility, it's all good.

Now that In my 40's age limits really don't mean much, but there are some that made me scratch my when your talking 50's dating a very early 20's and makes me wonder what they have in common besides sex Don't compromise yourself! You are all you've got!

My domme is considerably younger than me -- *almost* young enough to be my daughter. I tend to look for partners a bit closer to my own age, but she was looking for a sub at the time, and things have worked out well. Generally, my lower limit is 30, and my upper limit is within a few years of my own age. Within my kink community, I've gotten used to seeing all kinds of couples, including some with very large age differences (some with a gap close to 50 years), so it no longer phases me. I had a great time with a woman 18 years younger than me. It was a wonderful relationship fueled by our tension and chemistry. I am currently having a threesome with a woman 25 years younger than me. The mind is the only barrier. Care not for the opinion of those that judge as they are burdened and cannot think without objection.....enjoy Mike

Great question/s, Unicorn. I can't speak for others but, for me, I do not have a problem/issue with age differences between couples. Now I am assuming you mean my judgment of another couple. As long as they are both at the same maturity and intellectual level for each other. Now if you are referring to their age vs. your/my age, I think the same applies. Age is just a number to me and 'IF' you are compatible on a multitude of levels, it doesn't really matter at all. But does it make a difference when looking for a relationship? Absolutely it does, depending on one's own wants, desires, goals, etc. For example, I at my current age, would entertain a relationship with a younger woman, however if she wanted a 'family', I am not her guy. Same goes for an older woman. If she was retired and wanted to travel the world, I am not at that stage of my life yet. So you see it is possible, but probably not probable.
