Hitler reincarnated

Trump admires tyrants. He seems to model himself on Putin or Erdogan. But for some the parallel to Hitler strikes a better chord.

They thought they could control Hitler but that did not work so well. Hitler demonized Jews and slavs and the Roma. Mainly as a power grab but then as a way to terrorize.

We think it could not happen here, but that is what the Germans said...

how many of you will disown trump once hes no longer in power?

 This is early in Trump's political career. Be patient. He'll live up to your comparison with Hitler more fully. He's well on his way now. It's stunning the way his MAGAT supporters refuse to acknowledge the similarities. The racism runs deep in that crowd.

Dont panic, trump doesn't have the power to bring dwn the United states government, and turn his presidency into a dictatorship. If he is to turn into the next Hitler, you obviously have no faith in our government. If you truly believed what your saying, why do you still live here? Wouldn't you want to get out of the country before his take over of the u.s. government, especially if you are out spoken against him. I strongly disagree with the original post, suggesting we should basically be in fear that trump could overtake our government and possibly become the Hitler. I dnt see a dictatorship here, anytime soon.

It's fine to disagree with trump or conservatives like myself, and Trump isnt a politician, he is a business owner. He is leading and acting the only way he knows, how to. He is involved in a cutthroat business and is use to being in full control. These traits will obviously carry over as president. He probably shouldn't have got the job in the first place, but that said, I find the original post, saying we should be fearful that he will somehow turn America into a dictatorship, and comparing him to one of the most awful humans to have walked this earth is just ridiculous. And yes I have herd of the constitution, it's also the reason we have a president. Maybe that's something that should be re wrote. Maybe the constitution was wrote in the 1700s, and so much has changed since then, and the constitution is outdated, and is in need of some changes to fit with modern times.

 Trump is a threat, but I am more worried about the spineless GOP that enables Trump. Bill Barr is a lawyer who should know better than to suck up to Trump by weaponizing the criminal process to hurt Trump's rivals and enemies and help Trump friends break the law.

The elites in Germany thought they could use Hitler, only he was more dynamic and crazy with power lust and controlled and overpowered the elites. The monster Trump now has turned the GOP into his personal cult. Trump is on his payback tour and will be unbound by any law or control if he gets another four years to destroy the norms of our republic. Trump would be Putin or Xi if he could. Will we let him?

November will show the result.
