Jared seemed like the smart and responsible adviser to Trump. Now he is trashed.

Jared in December 2016 tried to set up a back channel to the Russians during the transition, only afraid of the US intelligence knowing what was said, proposed using the Russian secure diplomatic communication facilities. This crazy idea never happened apparently.

The Logan Act makes<b> illegal </font></b>private citizens interfering in foreign diplomacy.

If Jared had nothing<b> illegal </font></b>in mind, why hide the communications from the NSA and CIA?

Only one US President at a time. Jared is toast for a while.

Trump keeps ranting about leaks. Why so many leaks? The leakers are trying to restrain Trump by deterring stupid acts. Not working well because Trump is too reckless to deter.

Trump thinks he did well on his trip. Pissing off the Europeans is not a success. Making allies worry about your faithfulness is not a good thing. More trade makes both countries richer, according to economists. Russia interfered in our election. Russia is the adversary and the EU is our friend. Maybe we should color code it for Trump. Europe is green like money. Russia is red like stop.

The Paris climate accord is a major first step, and deserves US support. Trump needs to get real and not withdraw from the agreement. The US cannot lead or be effective if it goes against the science and civilized world. Rising sea level and extreme weather can get worse...

 Some are speculating that Trump pushed Jared to set up the back channel to Russia. If so sounds like collusion with Russia, after the election. To quote Trump: Bad and sad.

 I agree with the people who said that back channels aren't necessarily bad. A lot of good can come from them and they probably have been used more than most people realize. This wouldn't be such a big deal if it wasn't for the Russian interference in our election.
Please don't let me be misunderstood.

 If it is so innocent why try to have the back channel in a Russian diplomatic consulate so our intelligence agencies cannot monitor the communications? At the time Trump was not President so he and his agents were not authorized to conduct foreign policy talks.
