Nasty, Nasty

No fun here today to be outside, cold rainy conditions from about midnight
was a nasty, nasty day compared to the somewhat cool, but sunshiny yesterday.
Just hoping we got rid of the rough stuff before we get into Thanksgiving Day. Supposed to be freezing tonight, but hope the forecast is wrong.

All you bloggers get your Big Dinner fixings together and don't be stressed out
at the last minute. Better speak for myself, as my assigned dishes are a spinach
strawberries, blueberry, feta cheese salad with raspberry dressing and one other dish of my choice.

Looking forward to sampling all the other wonderful dishes that relatives and friends
relatives bring to such gatherings.

Seems like the holidays all run together this time of year but happy times all the same. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Definitely tight times both in Nov. & Dec., and being associated with various groups, all are at times very demanding to assist with their 'bright' ideas and functions that they demand you participate in. Other events such as house tours that our museum is sponsoring, DAR meetings and functions 'all just have to participate in'; and even an unscheduled DAR meeting for Dec 17 - when we normally don't have a meeting/event in Dec. Thank heavens decision was made not to do the gift bags full of small useful items for some nursing home residents, as it takes me off and on all year to gather items to go in the gift bags. Since I told the Exec. Committee it would be impossible for me to take care of that this year, they decided to go a different route - one of those situations where they command this and that done, but when it turns back to the committee to get done, they change up their thought process and decide It is too much of a hassle for any of them.

Anyway, am going to do a couple more dishes to take to the dinner Thurs in addition to the spinach, strawberry/blueberry, feta cheese salad. Hope I can find the goat cheese and hot pepper jelly, to put on a bed of lettuce and serve before the main meal as an appetizer; and putting a boston butt in the crock pot the night before as an additional meat dish. It is going to take a ton of food for some 65-70+ people, and most are adults.

Have yourself a great Thanksgiving, my friend. js

Sounds good to me. Have done that several times in past years as well when all the grands and son were way away in another State and not able to come home.
At any ate, whatever you do enjoy it.

It is an easy salad to make, takes a bit of time to wash and cut up the strawberries, then dump it all together except the dressing. It is also good with some cucumber diced up in it, not many.

Have yourself that Great Thanksgiving. js
