Eyes Closed

Closed are my eyes
your beauty is etched
in the darkness
the deep recesses of my mind

Closed are my eyes
you're not here,
at least not in body
I can see the beauty

Closed are my eyes
I reach out my hand
I feel you softness
I feel your warmth

Closed are my eyes
a bead of sweat
a shiver down my spine
you are here in my mind

Open are my eyes
there you lie before me
more beautiful than ever
a new vision to be etched
