strangers

so everyone is a stranger before you meet them. To gain friends, you must either be social or be part of a group, whether it be a group of friends, organization, or some other things.

When we are young it is incredibly easy to make good friends. I would have trusted my best friends with my life back in the day, now, i wouldn't trust a person i met this year with my taxes.

So how doth one make good new friends in an age of misery?
Networking? through a job? Travel?
Lord knows you can't trust your neighbor farther than you can throw 'em anymore.
The point I am trying to get across here is who can you really trust in life? Has it always been this way?

As a youth, I made friends faster than muscle cars run the quarter mile, but now it seems people just don't want to be friends with just anyone. Sure, when someone is desperate they call or hang out.

I don't know much
seems im losing touch
will i be your crutch
or just the go to in the clutch

If i died tomorrow
i think i would become a vague memory
of what could have come from life
a good friend, but not the best
did i pass the test?
this life is just too much stress
it comes it goes
speeds up and slows
who knows
what people think
certainly not me
maybe i stink

Its great to laugh
a relief to cry
life has ups and downs
smiles and frowns
anguish and victory
but i always know tomorrows a mystery
so i fight to see what it will be
and what surprise lies inside.
Today is a gift, that is why it is called the present.
