Boobs, booze, cops and one crazy night...

I counting my lucky stars that I am at work today and not jail. I was about THISCLOSE to spending time with some time...let's not even think about it

So last night....yea. Sometimes I wonder if I am cursed or blessed. Life is weird like that. I was leaving a "Ladies drink free" thingy last night around midnight and really shoulda waited a few before leaving, but I wasn't trashed. My boy was with me, and I asked him to follow me to his place since I can't drive well at night, and I have a tail light that likes to go off randomly and get me pulled over. I guess I made it there OK, but the next thing I know there is a cop at my window. What a way to come to...

Apparently, I had picked up some girl needing a ride or some crazy shit, I don't even remember, and when I pulled into the spot she told me to I hit a truck. Big time. Maybe I did the gas instead of the brake thing, who knows, but needless to say, I screwed up my car, alot. So what does this bitch I picked up do, but called the cops and told them I was drunk and crashing into stuff. Two minutes later is where my memory picks back up again.

My boy is nowhere to be found, I'm trashed and this cop pulls me out of my car. My dress had come untied, so there was boobs out...I was so shocked about the situation I didn't even notice, but he did. He yelled at me about how I was so trashed I didn't even know my clothes weren't on. He makes me stand against his car, cuffs me and tosses me in the back seat.

I started getting hysterical, I've never even seen the back of a cop car, nevermind being cuffed. He starts giving me the third degree what I was doing here, where I'm coming from, and if I've been drinking. I told him I was coming to see my boy and yes I had been drinking. He asked me where my boy was, so I told him his condo number and he went to find him. Funny, the girl that called the cops on me took off as soon as they arrived.

He returned with my boy and told me I was going to jail. I was driving without a liscence, cause I had lost it the other day, which was also suspended for not having insurance. Not to mention the drinking and damage. ::sigh:: Not good.

I'm not sure how it happened or what happened, but after all the officers' yelling at me about how I was going to jail and all this crap, I found myself standing there with my boy with a mere $200.00 ticket (not that $200.00 is not a nice chunk of change, but compared to what I thought was coming to me...wow) in my hand as the cop drove off.

So total damages to my car is estimated at $1,000.00, and I also blew a tire when I hit the parked truck. Now my poor car is ALL banged up, like as in if I open my hood it won't go back down I'm terrified to go anywhere and do anything. I also can't decide if I have bad luck cause of the crash, the cop and all the shit, or someone upstairs watching out for me, thanks to the lack of going to jail and whatnot or killing someone and just hitting something parked.

In all honesty, I really just can't park a car, sober or not.

Be safe this weekend everyone! There's no shame in calling a cab, but there is tons when you're walking a chaulk line.

You are in one piece and not in jail so at least chalk it up to lessons learned and say many thanks to the angels above for looking out for you.

A M&G at the prison just wouldn't be any fun

Madi,
I am so glad you are okay, I know what you are going through emotionally but this too shall pass. The main thing is that you are safe and came through it without the big house. Just recently I was arrested for sitting in my truck across the street from my house listening to my music (hadn't been driving). I must admit I was trashed and I had the engine on (not to run the battery down) but I was parked off the road from earlier in the day since I was working on my yard and driveway. I had gone out to the truck to listen to some songs I had recently recorded, since my 79yr old mum lives with me after a hip replacement and I didn't want to wake her. Anyway I am sorry to ramble on but needless to say I fell asleep or passed out, whatever, and someone called the cops due to the music. next thing I know I am being taken downtown even though I pleaded with the cop that "I live right there" pointing to my house.
So, now I am taking the bus till november and $5,000+ later with Lawyers and fines and and and. It is the reason I haven't been active in the group and not made it to any M&G's.
Anyway, this too shall pass.
God bless you sweetie, Someone is definately watching over you and sending you a little nudge.
Lots of love
Gary

A little LATE :

Madi Im glad you are ok. Must have been one hell of a night for you. Consider yourself truly blessed. You made out by only having to fork out $1000.00. No injuries to yourself or another. Lets see, DUI arrest $25,000.00 min for the attorney and court costs. 5 year suspension on your DL for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. Spending 24 hrs locked up with a bunch of other women drunks and criminals. So do you feel any better knowing all this. Automobiles can always be replaced. People and limbs come at a much higher price.
