Don't you hate last minute cancellations, after you've rearranged your time in which to have a good time and then your current playmate cancels, then when you try to find your friends, their mysteriously busy or absent....

How does that happen? Every single time that there's a cancellation, bam, no one's around...really how the fuck does that happen?

 Because by the time your date cancels, it's late in the game and people already have other plans (even if it's just staying in).
