Look into my eyes

What do you see?

You see happiness or sadness?

How about excitement or fear?

What do you see behind the chocolate color?

Do you see the tears I've shed for years?

How about the joy I've had?

When everything went good and not bad

Do you see the love I feel?

Or the anger with which I have to deal

Can you see my happy side?

Or how about how that side has died?

Can you see my truth?

Or is that still to much for you?

Do you see what I have seen?

Can you see why I am the person I have come to be?

Do you see my crazy side?

Or all the times I thought I could fly

Do you see all the abuse I have been through?

You see all the things I had to do to avoid being hurt by people like you?

Can you see why I cry?

Can you see all my lies?

Do you see the betrayal?

Or all the people who said I would fail?

Do you see any of this?

No?

I guess you not looking deep enough

You only see what's on the outside

And never wonder what I hold with in

The dreams I've had and the tales to be told

The person I am

The love I have to give

When I bare my true soul

Then you'll truly know
